You can always ignore it and do it later?

Hateno is kind of the worst offender when it comes to this, but at the same time, all the quests I think are more or less related to the election, so it's really one big long sidequest rather than a bunch of little ones.

Yeah I know, they're just stacking up. I'm just whining on my backlog of tasks to do in this game. The completionist in me wants it all done as I get it, but I know that's irrational.

So after clearing multiple sky islands of content, I decided it was time to circle back to my friend Sidon and his plight. Partially because I was running out of weapons and I needed a good dungeon to help me stock back up.

Long story short, I'm in the Water Temple, and I just finished turning on the last faucet. I decided to stop here, since once I beat Mucktorok I'll be locked into cutscenes, and I work tomorrow.

I don't work on Tuesday though, so my plan is to finish Zoraville tomorrow and start getting a good start on Gerudo Country.

Considering that all the maps I'm getting in the sky are for the depths, it feels right that I'm not really exploring the depths too much right now. I'm planning to do as much as I possibly can in the sky and land before I go all out in the depths, so I can be as prepared as possible.

Heh, I explored the depths early on and just ran around in the dark until I got to a Lightroot I had seen in the distance. It wasn’t until later I starting using the bright blooms and such.

Man, Sidon really loves to just slow walk everywhere and walk right past you, huh?

He’s the worst companion, IMO. I don’t need a one hit water shield, I have 28 hearts and armor sets 60+. And I can throw splash fruits for water. So, what good is Sidon? Haha

To be fair, Tulin is the only one I use a lot.

The companions are easily the worst part of the game

It’s honestly shocking how clunky they are to use. The fact that the lightning sage, with their ranged ability, is a melee AI who is constantly in the middle of enemies making them unreachable most of the time is just so baffling. I disabled all of them, they’re hard to use in battle and they’re constantly in my way outside of battle

I think I read that if you use Zora weapons that get ultra powerful when wet, Sidon's ability becomes useful for this.

Tulin is by far the best because he helps you cover distance, but Yunobo is definitely useful too though. It's super nice not having to waste weapons or bomb arrows trudging through cave rocks.

I basically never used the other three aside from when I was fighting groups of enemies. They were never close enough to me to readily call on without putting myself in danger.

Yea, I realized way too late in the game Yunobo had a great use, but I used him some recently.

I use everyone for fighting Hinox and Flux. And large groups of enemies to keep them distracted.

Fun fact, Yunobo is not just good for rocks, but also vines, because he travels so fast, he lights them on fire.

Not the thorns if that's what you mean, but there are some caves with vines that block passages.

I had a wall of fire that I was supposed to find a solution to, but instead, Yunobo just happened to be standing right under the flames and I just... Walked through his body haha

Eh, everything you hit degrades a weapon, so if I can get away with not, I'd rather do that.

Also, I ran out of swords at the time. It was just a happy accident too, cause I first learned it by accidentally triggering him.

  24. Greg

    The Forgotten Son Supporter

I’m not saying not to do it haha it’s a good fallback if I don’t have a sword. Since vines are one hit, I don’t worry about degrading.

Today I’m shooting to collect the rest of the bubbulfrogs. I got to around 25 left, so I’m using a guide for the last couple dozen. I’m curious what happens when you get them all.
