This is my first time seeing it.

And he clearly didn't get it, given his doubling down in the thread.

Here’s hoping they just managed to tighten the production up and Hum is just permanently an extra song to the set list. Not sure if they just had time for an extra song because Bring Me didn’t play last night

I'm not going to fully disclose the conversation we had, but my take is that he both does get it and isn't interested in publicly saying so, because people will still be angry with him regardless, and would rather just move on.

Maybe this is just poorly worded, but it's not true. He sang it many times since the album came out, an entire tour

I think they just mean since that time period, not since the literal release date.

  7. Yeah but it's been a full page and a half since that post and I don't think it's necessary to drag the whole thing out any more. I have the same gripes anytime something similar happens in other threads.

Happy to see Patrick sing and embrace his solo stuff. I know it was a rough time for him/the band with first Folie and then Soulpunk being so disliked by the fan base then, but they are both great. Hope they all can start to feel the appreciation many have for those albums nowadays.

Maybe this means he’ll sing some Spidey & His Amazing Friends songs next time!

I fucking loved Soulpunk. Bummed I never got a chance to see him on his solo tour.

I was super into Soulpunk when it released, then soured on it pretty quickly. I’ve come back around to liking most of it. There’s a handful of great songs, but a lot of OK ones.

I bought soul punk for my mom for Christmas when it came out. We liked it.

is it the same for you? Prestigious

I was so excited when I got my advance teaser (and advance copy) of Soul Punk. I loved the album then, and it’s still good now.

I really need to listen to Soul Punk again. I haven’t since it came out. A lot has changed since then. Maybe I’ll dig it this time?

For those interested in the setlist switch ups:

Current Tally for Patrick's Piano Solos
    1. Lake Shore Drive (Aliotta Haynes Jeremiah - Cover)
    2. What a Time to Be Alive
    3. I'm Like a Lawyer With the Way I'm Always Trying to Get You Off (Me & You)
    4. Somebody To Love (Queen - Cover) & Take on Me (A-Ha - Cover)
    5. What a Catch, Donnie
    6. Spotlight (Oh Nostalgia) [Patrick Stump - Cover]
    7. Nothing Compares 2 U (Family - Cover but technically in the style of Sinead O’Connor’s cover)

Current Tally for Magic 8 Ball Song
    1. G.I.N.A.S.F.S
    2. Of All The Gin Joints in the World
    3. Sophomore Slump or Comeback of the Year
    4. The Kintsugi Kid (Ten Years)
    5. The (After) Life of the Party
    6. Homesick at Space Camp
    7. (Coffee’s for Closers)

Also in the normal portion of the set, Hum Hallelujah and "The Take Over, the Break's Over" seem to be up for rotation between one another, or both if they have extra time.

Finally! Not that it matters anymore because they’re playing whatever but I believe Patron Saint is the remaining song on the original 8 ball rotation so it’ll probably be played soon.

FWIW, they mentioned maybe playing a new song in that spot (the ball said no), so there’s probably more to come
