The new version comes out in November.

If you look online at CD Keys or somewhere similar, it’s normally about £35 or the equivalent which is good value.
Next one looks to be a big update so could be a good re-entry point.

Oh neat, if I can get the Taylor Swift tickets in Wembley I want, it should also be the opening weekend of the EPL.

I was ahead of the curve!!!!!

but no I think it’s a mistake. He’s clearly coming to take Eriksen’s spot, which we do need someone else for but I think we could do with a more defensively sound player there. Mount works hard, but yeah someone a bit more defensive minded would be better

  11. Cuban national teams playing in south Florida usually comes with this type of story. I don’t know enough about the politics of it all but it’s always sad to me what lengths some of the Cuban athletes have to go to in order to make it to America (or just out of Cuba in general).

Detroit City FC just had a former Cuban national come into the squad after years of tormenting us for other teams. Defected during the 2015 Gold Cup with four other players.

  14. i think sympathies and focus would be better reserved towards the unnecessary cruelty the US’ embargo on cuba inflicts, but we can probably take that to a different thread

Yeah that's a Politics topic but I would like to point out that a majority of Americans favor ending the embargo as well and has been pretty solid in favor of that polling wise for a while now. Like a lot of things the politicians that represent a lot of folks don't always line up with those types of polls though.

  18. of course. and i don’t know enough about these specific athlete stories to really comment on them. it’s just hard for me not to think of the children stolen from their parents in operation peter pan when people bring up their struggles to “escape cuba” or whatever. and i have a hard time believing anything western mainstream media reports on american “enemy” states

anyway, hands off cuba and i’m gonna go listen to the men in blazers big ange deep dive

  19. I’ve somewhat brought this up before, but it’s weird to me how Arsenal are able to buy so many players from rivals and other “big 6” clubs. City, West Ham, and Chelsea have helped strengthen a rival. I know there isn’t always a way to say no, but doesn’t seem like other bigger clubs deal with each other as much.

  20. This is why I said I don’t know enough about the politics of it all hah it’s something I should read up on though

  21. the second season of the podcast blowback is all on the cuban revolution and US intervention before and after it. it’s very well researched and produced, if that sounds at all interesting

  22. I will definitely add it to my podcast list
