Tbh I describe most artists as average, at least I like their music an average amount. i can't speak to how anyone is as a musician cause idk about that stuff except the way it sounds to my ears and all

 

I guess an unpopular opinion of this site is that I love new music but I don't consume too much of it. I've never had a year where I've listened to 100+ new albums. Idk I had that thought cause today I expanded a bit and listened to five new albums but it felt kind of exhausting by the end of it and I already forgot what the first few sounded like

 

Okay to all those posts but Joyce manor and 3eb still don't sound alike

 

100+ new albums is a shit load of new albums are you kidding me haha.
Also, Joyce Manor and Third Eye Blind is probably the strangest comparison I've heard here in a while.

 

It's a bit of a stretch but I could see it in a few of the songs on the new album

 

I listen to about 200 per year, but some people here dwarf that.

 

The vocals remind me of Jawbreaker, which confirms my assumption from earlier when I mentioned I saw them classified as Midwest emo. I might have to look into these guys more.

Yeah 100 isn't that many, just 8 or so per month

 

On pace to get to about 200.

 

For me I probably listen to 20-30 new albums a year, give or take.

 

Jawbreaker is far more accurate than 3eb imo

 

I have tried in the past listening to lots of albums a year but only a few end up sticking anyway. I should listen to more tho.

the most i've gotten is like...82 i think? in 2013. and i was like WHOA THAT'S A LOT I'M AWESOME!

then i went back to like 20 something after.

 

i was on top of the game hahaha i think i hit 360? idk. this year im at about 150. i slacked pretty hard for the first half of the year....for obvious reasons

recently i've been re listening a lot to older albums lol

 

I don't really try to listen to as many albums as I can or anything for the sake of hitting a number. Every Friday I add everything I'm interested to into a playlist and then just work through it. Just so happens that there's usually 5 or so albums every week I want to listen to.

 

yeah i use apple music! its sooooo convenient. i took time out to listen to old albums i had never heard before last year too, i think there were around 100 of those. the thing is i pretty much have music playing at all hours of the day when im at home or in the car. i dont watch much tv or movies so its pretty much all the media consumption i partake in

 

oh yeah it has nothing to do with hitting a number, i just wanna listen to as much music as possible.

 

I'm also not really a movie guy. So when I come home at night to relax I don't turn the tv on, I just listen to music all night. It's part of the reason I enjoy watching sports. I can keep the TV muted and listen to music at the same time.

 

I am a movie guy and I only listen to music in the car, if I'm not listening to podcasts anyway

 

I hear some Weezer influence, honestly
