southern states are definitely not a monolith, people don’t seem to realize this but southern culture has a wide variety haha

in GA / FL people speed a lot haha. In NC / VA both lanes will crawl exactly the speed limit

 

I go like 10-15 over at all times in Texas and I'll frequently run into people both going 15 under and 30 over and nothing else, and that's why driving in Texas is bad

tbf ive spent a lot of time driving in Philly so my frame of reference might be a bit skewed

 

My frame of reference is definitely skewed in MD haha, MD is a notoriously fast driving state. That’s why this was where the first photo-enforced speed limits started being built - however, half the drivers have memorized where those cameras are and speed in those areas too lol.
