to be fair, tortellini, cavatappi and risotto are three VERY different pastas that get cooked to different textures and work with different flavor profiles. I could get down with that but I love Italian food lol

 

Cavatappi might be my favorite for a traditional pasta dish, one piece of cavatappi can hold so much chunky tomato sauce on/inside it haha. Cavatappi also rules as a homemade Mac & cheese pasta, better than macaroni for sure

Kirk Cousins is probably the best example ever that completion percentage doesn’t measure accuracy, it measures how consistently you make safe decisions.

Because Kirk is not very accurate on tough throws, compared to some of these QBs throwing passes like they’re Matrix bullets lol. He just mitigates risk well

 

That said, for some players it’s both safe decision making and accuracy. Joe Burrow is a great example of that. He’ll dink and dunk you to death if it’s working - but when it’s time to fit the ball into a window, he can anticipate an opening like 2 feet wide extremely early and drop the ball exactly where it needs to be

Burrow as a passer, tbh, reminds me a lot of Drew Brees.

Both of them have somewhat underwhelming arm strength for a QB of that caliber - like they can throw it 60 yards downfield, but ripping out bullet passes and throwing it on a rope isn’t their strong suit. Both have a notoriously high percentage of dumpoff passes because they don’t really have the velocity to force the ball into places it doesn’t belong. But their anticipation is so damn good and they process things so fast, they can also thread the fuckin needle with an arc touch pass whenever they see an opportunity

meanwhile Mahomes is the opposite lol… takes a ton of risks with a Brett Favre level arm… but unlike Favre, he is so good at playing that way and outsmarting the defense that he STILL has a good completion percentage and low INT numbers. Mahomes just defies every rule that other QBs have to follow to be consistent lol

 

I still have no idea where and how to rank Kirk other than "near Dak"

 

Mahomes is like if Brett Favre’s arm and guts / extreme competitive edge, was mixed with the elusiveness of Fran Tarkenton and the football IQ of Peyton Manning

Im also gonna say this - Brady used to be primarily an arc touch passer in his early career, but he definitely developed more arm strength and velocity over the course of his career. Early 30s Brady had a WAY stronger arm than mid 20s Brady. So that is a trait that CAN be improved.
