Just got to the Hebra region stable to unlock the Great Fairy and Violynne is playing the Lon Lon Ranch theme on her violin. Love it. Sat there and listened to it for like a full 2 minutes.

 

I noticed while riding Epona for a bit yesterday that they incorporated some of the classic theme into the music during that.

God this game is so fucking cool.

 

After powering through the wind, water, and fire temples in relatively short order, I'm trying to take the game in at a more leisurely pace before visiting Gerudo and completing the story. My brain always wants to believe the main quest is most important (and I guess it is) but I don't want to be left with nearly the entirety of shrines and side quests once I've dispatched Ganon.

Not as if that poses a major problem: this game, main quest or mundane fetching, is superb.

 

one thing I do wish is that they would bring out the classic tunes more often. I enjoy the semi-ambient vibes but sometimes a full score really hits the spot

 

If you drive around the ocean for more than a minute the wind waker sailing music should hit

 

Does anyone use the travel medallion? Doesn't seem that useful when there are so many shrines and towers around.

 

I only used it save a spot before taking on Ganondorf so I could leave to do more shrines and come back later

 

I've plopped it down on a few sky islands when I don't have time to complete a shrine quest and activate its fast travel point. Fire Temple too, while on my way to the proper temple structure.

 

When there is a quest line that requires me to go back and forth between different spots I do. I used it a bunch for pre-Water Temple stuff.

 

Glad I'm not the only one who had that idea.

I posted up a couple others around King Gleooks so I could come back when I wasn't scrub level anymore.

 

I plopped one outside my house bc its got a bed a cooking pot and a goddess statue so its a decent place to be able to get to quickly

 

I haven’t found the medallion yet.

 

I stumbled upon the Spirit temple entrance. Can’t figure out a way in.

 

Okay. Spent like two hours wandering around in the depths. I need to get out soon and do anything else haha but I got one more light root in sight first.

 

Two hours later... Okay one more lightroot then back to the surface.

At least for me anyways.

 

I swear every time I'm going towards a lightroot there ends up being a a vertical mountain between us making it impossible to get to.

 

I beat the Gerudo temple today, and while I found it the easiest of the 4 main ones, it also is the most fun and satisfying temple I’ve done since the 1990’s Zelda titles. Every Temple in Zelda should be like the old school dungeons with so much fun puzzle solving and where the whole theme of the temple/dungeon just flows so well through each subsequent puzzle to solve. Just amazing.

Also, Riju fucking rules.

Can’t wait for Chris Pratt‘s Link. No more of this woke ass Zelda shit only glory for Christ and the marines

 

At least when they make a Metroid movie we probably don't have these questions. Brie Larson already called dibs on Samus years ago saying that is one of her dream roles.

 

I think a Zelda movie should star Toon Link

 

2 temples down wind and lightning. Going to take a bit of time doing side quests. I feel way underpowered for anything.
