  1. Healy also clapped back at Noel Gallagher: "The difference between me and Noel is that I do a series of interviews to promote an album, whereas he does an album to promote a series of interviews."

    lol

  2. honestly a really funny feud lol

  4. Listening to this Tape Notes episode, yeah there are soooo many cool little tidbits in here. There’s one Happiness stem George played that I’ll never unhear haha. Opener demo is wild too. And The Chicks were supposed to be on the closer!

Noel Gallagher just loves to talk trash. He inevitably gets along with people he talks shit about (Damon Alburn, Chris Martin, etc)

We reach for the longest shadow

I'll never unhear the loud, cheesy bell/horn noise that starts at the same time as the guitar break at 2:35 after listening to that episode.

I dare this band to do something without giving a 60 day build up

Total random but wild that tweet has 500K views but only 6K in likes. I thought this band was huge but maybe I’m confusing them with a different band or with all the Twitter stuff recently people aren’t as present there as before. Not a knock on the band, just surprised to see only 6K likes as I would have expected that to be closer to the 500K view number

Yeah dude they've never been mainstream. Biggest US hit was Chocolate, ten years ago. Peaked at 80 on the Hot 100

They were like five-ten years too late with their sound. Stuff like Imagine Dragons took off in the US, they never did

they're definitely one of the most "popular" bands ever... the cult following is just on the more extreme end

where would i be if i was my brain Prestigious

They’re pretty big. Its kinda weird people might know the name but not the music or they’ll recognize an alt radio hit but not know the band name.

I was talking to a random bloke I met on the first night of their Melbourne dates in April, and we actually spoke about how impressive it is for them to sell out a 15,000 capacity arena two nights in a row considering they’ve never really had radio play over here. They’ve had a couple of number one albums on the ARIA chart, but for the most part nobody talks about them and nobody knows who they are. Those two nights though, they felt like the biggest band in the world. Such a great experience.

I'll write you into all of my songs Supporter

They’re like a modern day LCD soundsystem band imo, like they’re huge and sell out the msg and influenced your favorite band, but never really had a huge hit or anything

if you think view counts on twitter are accurate or inductive of anything that relates to number of likes you’re a rube
