I shit you not, there are wild goats on a tiny island in the middle of the St John’s river like, right by one of the main bridges into downtown Jax lol

I know this because when my friends and their families would invite us on boating trips, we’d cook out there and us preteen / teenage kids would go explore and find herds of them

I also remember stepping on small species of cactuses and it hurting a LOT, even though there are no naturally occurring cacti anywhere else I’ve been in Florida lol. Darwinism at work on islands.

We also did skim boarding and wakeboarding and would cook out on the island shore while watching ships go by, it was great

lmao of course it does. They actually brought a live jaguar (on heavy sedatives) to my elementary school when I was 5 or 6 and I got to pet it
