Key lesson in the "how calendars work" school:

Today is the 158th day of the year. If today were "mid-year," the year would only be 316 days long!

In fact, we are only 43 percent of the way through the year.

Contrary to the belief of many publications, albums released in December of any given year count toward that year's year-end list. You don't just get to bounce them to the next year because you thought it was a good idea to publish your year-end list in October.

So, be a good person and wait until the actual mid-year to make a mid-year list.

 

Nothing in June will change my list so far. The only one in order is Ruston. Everything else moves around at this point.

Greg Mendez is up there for favorite of the year. Superviolet is Steve and a few other guys from The Sidekicks. Bony Macaroni was just some catchy fun stuff.
