Although it has definitely worked out for the better, part of the reason I spent half a decade in community college was me just trying to brute force calculus, although idk if it was the material itself or the fact that my heart was not in the degree I was studying for. I am humanities student (and will be for 6 more years hopefully) and part of that has to do with the fact that I don't like math, although the feeling of solving a problem is a very satisfying one.
