seeing this in under 15 minutes, i’ll try not to spoil whether or not the spot talks about his kids

ok, some ACTUAL thoughts now that i can process this at least a little bit:

first, the only negative (for some) is that it's a helluva lot of movie. while nothing bad within, and everything feels organic, this could be potentially too much for everyone to just gulp down, especially since it's a part 1 of 2, of sorts. beyond that, the animation, the music (both soundtrack and score), the pathos, the story, the characters (ALL OF THEM), the references to other shit, all top notch. there's no level it's not delivering on. movie of the year for me, can't wait to pick up on more things when i see it again. also not ready to declare whether it's superior to ITSV, especially since we arguably can't fully judge this one before beyond comes out

 

Very excited for this; might go see on a giant IMAX screen here in Oslo this Saturday
