Something weird must’ve happened behind the scenes, it just feels that way, but I’m glad nothing has ever been explained.

They have beef with Ben Harper too. A lot of drama with this band.

 

i met him, he got booted with not much of an explanation. met him twice, once before it happened and the year after it happened.

ryan key is difficult to work with, heard he's gotten humbler as he got older but back in the day he had a huge ego.

Pretty sure Ryan either posted in one of the Yellowcard threads or on Twitter that they don't talk about why LPIII was removed out of respect for LP. But go off, I guess.

 

dont forget their first bassist Warren. him getting booted from YC was quite the message board drama back in the early days of the band.

 

I was curious and looked into this. I found a podcast with Warren where he stated he left because he didn't like the direction they were headed and his heart wasn't in it anymore. Not sure why you think he was kicked, unless there's more to it.

 

i wont pretend i have any inside info or anything. but i was a big fan and really active on their message board way back when he left the band and there were plenty of rumors/message board posts about them basically kicking him out of the band in the middle of the tour. again, im not saying any of that is fact as this all happened 20 years ago. maybe Warren was kind of losing interest and they came to a mutual decision that he shouldnt be in the band anymore. i really dunno
