Setlists look awesome on this tour.

 

They pulled out Last Light last night for the last date of tour and it was fucking unreal. Truly a perfect band still.

 

they aren't touring the new album at all? Saw the setlist and it was zero songs.

 

Is Chelsea Wolfe with them on tour?

 

Last few shows are standard Converge. Blood Moon is next month.

There's a lot of great tracks pre-Jane Doe that deserve their due - Jacob's Ladder and Flowers and Razorwire on this comp are particularly awesome.

Edit: Also can't mention pre-JD tracks without including The Saddest Day. A top 5 Converge song of all-time for me personally.

 

Love all their 90s shit, so grimy

 

this is what draws me to their early stuff. The first few records have a very eerie and unhinged aura to them that for the most part is missing on anything after You Fail Me. Love all their records though.

 

So, I finally managed to see Converge live for the first time ever and to make the experience even better they played ‘Jane Doe’ in full. They were absolutely incredible. Like, unbelievably good. Jacob sounded so good live and the whole performance was just insane. I loved every minute of it. When they took to the stage, Jacob grabbed the mic. Shouted ‘WE ARE CONVERGE’ then Concubine started. Surreal!

 

I wish they'd do a Jane Doe tour proper in the states as opposed to festival shows, but I've gotten to see them twice this year among the three shows I've been to this calendar year so I can't complain too much.

 

I had Covid the first time they came through this year and was on vacation the second time. Hoping I'll get a chance to see them next year, Jane Doe tour or otherwise.

 

Managed to find this footage of ‘Concubine’ that someone has uploaded from the night. Really cool.

 

I'm in Chicago for a business trip and was supposed to leave tomorrow night. Took a lot at my Last.fm events for the area and saw Converge was playing.

Changed the flight to Friday morning instead. Let's fucking go.
