got my AC worked on at my house yesterday and now it's gonna stay at 68 degrees all the time baby

 

I've never enjoyed any Flaming Lips song I've heard lol

 

Psychedelic pop is still a thing though lol. Bands like MGMT, Of Montreal, Deerhunter, Video Age, etc.

and Flaming Lips are arguably the most influential recent band in that category.

 

See, now I can't get behind your takes at all hahaha. It is very possible to hear 3 really obnoxious and bad ones and not any of their really good songs if you've only heard 3

Radiohead does too and they're still one of the best bands of all time. Same with Sonic Youth.

I like a polarizing band that's willing to take risks, as long as they still made several strong albums in the process

Bad live sound is definitely a reason I would choose not to go to a venue. Bugs me a lot when you can't fucking hear what the guitars are doing and they just sound like noise. The guitar activity and guitar tones are a key feature of most of the music I listen to.

 

I am seeing Thrice with Holy Fawn next week though and I’m looking forward to that show v much
