The third AAR album holds up better than the first one does front to back IMO

but Swing, Swing is a bop

 

Third AAR is very underrated.

Panics only good album is their first one. Then maybe one or two songs each album after that.

my Panic hot take is that I really like the album with High Hopes

The first two were middle/high school Whitenblue’s jam, the next 3 sat somewhere between existing and being actively grating to me (looking at you, song that samples Rock Lobster) and then Pray For The Wicked really really clicked for me even though I had no real expectation to like it (and then I didn’t care for the final album much again)

it’s hard to compare nostalgia albums with things I like as an adult by the same band, but at the very least, it’d be in my top 3

Yeah I visited Boston in late June one year, and it was still in the low 40s at night

Boston is lovely but its weather is not

Yeah i street busked to the ticket / box office line until the very last second, packed up at like 7:53, ran all my gear to my car (which was pretty exhausting lol) and rapidly packed and took like 6 rips of a bowl in 45 seconds, got into the venue high af right as they started their first song.

I loved their set so much I got into the pit for the first time in years for the last two songs. But then I chilled by the bar for PUP while the rest of the crowd got crazier haha, my old ass needed some oxygen and water after 5 minutes in the pit

 

I've seen Panic 3 times and it was fun all 3 times

This might be a hot take cause I'm not as nostalgic for my scene phase as most people / don't enjoy the whiney-ness of the majority of pop-punk / emo bands.... but that Pool Kids album is one of my favorite takes on the genre EVER.

I haven't gone back to the full Pool Kids album a ton (mostly because I rarely listen to an album front to back) but the part from like 1:40 on in Conscious Uncoupling absolutely killlls
