    hmmm

I want Luton to win, mainly because they were playing non-League football ten years ago, so it will provide plenty of opportunities for that commentary favourite, "Ten years ago today, Luton Town were playing against Shit Team Wanderers in front of seven people and a poodle. Today they take on Manchester City at the Etihad..."

Absolutely the best possible play off final.

I sort of want Luton to won because I’ve been there and consider it potentially the worst town in England, alongside Blackpool. The idea of Man City or Arsenal going there between trips to places like the San Siro is very funny.

But one of my best friends supports Coventry and has given me grief over the years, and I couldn’t say much back cause it felt genuinely bit mean. I’d like to take him with me to watch them play Arsenal.

I wanted Amad and Carrick to do well so fuck me I guess.

But I also wanted one of Luton or Coventry up as opposed to Sunderland and Middlesbrough.

When was the last time Luton played in the first tier? Whenever I hear that name I think about playing some obscure football game on the Commodore 64.

have there been any other recent UCL finals where one side was the overwhelming favorite?

I was trying to describe myself to someone

Maybe Spurs Liverpool? 2010/11 Barca versus United?

Unsure how much Juventus were fancied against Real in 2016/17.

This one definitely looks by the far the most lopsided that I can remember. Most of them are fairly even looking.

Chelsea's win against Bayern in 2012 felt like a very backs against the wall triumph — on paper and in practice, that match felt lopsided, although Chelsea pulling off a similar feat against Barca in the semis meant it wasn't a complete surprise.

Before that, it's Milan against us in 2005. A chasm between the two starting lineups.

Yeah I'm saying Chelsea 2012. Interim manager (at the time), several injuries and suspensions, Ryan Bertrand starting left wing (lmao), all at Bayerns own stadium when they were the No.1 team in Europe at the time.

Besides, Inter are winning this years final anyway! :fingerscrossed:

I know they are notoriously harsh but L'Equipe gave Haaland the lowest score of any City player for yesterday. Speaks volumes about how dominate City were, really.

  10. Amorim likely not involved in any of this. But it would be funny for us to hire a manager from a club with this kind of investigation going on after the Paratici fiasco.

Let's get these people moving faster!

Nah, you can be sure they'll now say that 10 years ago they were playing in Wrexham.

I feel like it was 1992 or something, before the invention of football by the Premier League anyway.

Yeah, they were relegated at the end of the 1992 season which deprived them of a place in the new Premier League. Notts County went down from the old First Division in the same year!

I’m dumb. Will this San Diego MLS team be created out of thin air or is a lower tier club being “promoted” into MLS?

i tore a hole in the fabric of time Moderator

I believe one is being created out of thin air as opposed to “promoting” the vibrant and thriving team they already have.

Newcastle will cruise to a win tonight IF they keep their discipline. Bruno G and Joelinton both look like losing their heads.
