I also wanna say the discourse about Jags being projected division leaders was very fair and measured and I appreciated everyone’s posts

the one thing I wanted to add to that already very through discussion, is that although yes we will probably have more injuries this year, yes we could lose games we shouldn’t due to things like that, yes Trevor could regress slightly

Adding Ridley, Anton Harrison, Bigsby and hopefully Strange really offsets that. Cause like, now if one of Trev’s weapons gets hurt we’re pretty much just back to where we were last year when he was still able to pull it off. we now have a strong third depth guy at each position and can absorb an injury at WR, T, TE, OR RB whereas any of those would’ve doomed us last season.

Only way that’s not true is if Ridley sucks now - even the underwhelming return of Josh Gordon that @whitenblue88 pointed out would be enough receiver production to get us through a few games without Kirk or Engram. Tank Bigsby & D’Ernest Johnson could probably compensate well for an Etienne loss. If Anton Harrison sucks we still have Cam Robinson and Walker Little from last year. Etc etc

It’s to the point where I’ve given up haha. Orca has forced me to acknowledge him as a totally new person even though I and most of us here were 100% sure it’s the same user. if it wasn’t clear from my posts, I say everything I say with the clear acknowledgment that the Jags are the pretty heavy favorites in the division and there is no one team I’d pick over them (and probably still wouldn’t pick the field if the choice was JAX or not JAX)

 

Here's my question about this division that somehow dominates this thread: What are the Vegas odds on the Colts winning the division? Are they heavy underdogs?

 

Texans are biggest underdogs, but yes they are

a $20 bet to win the division at the casino with the most favorable odds nets you:
$13 for the Jags winning
$80 for the Titans winning
$110 for the Colts winning
$160 for the Texans winning

 

That's pretty good odds for a team that's....pretty well constructed? JT gets healthy and AR turns out to be legit and they're dangerous. I don't see the Titans as dangerous at all.
