Currently sitting outside my apartment because in all of the hubbub today I left the keys to this place inside today. So waiting on Kelsey to get here. And it started pouring outside! Great!

 

ever since going to school and studying engineering and working in the field, yeah I wont be going on any of those anymore.

Also the people that go on the crazy ass rides at local carnivals that some random drunk guy set up in a mall parking lot? Yeah, youre a lunatic.

(I say as someone that’s probably moved 10-12 times since childhood)

I also live in a studio apartment in a city (and plan to remain fairly urban even if I upgrade my income and living space). How tf am I gonna ever make a king size bed if I put it here. This queen is already horrible to try to put sheets on and was horrible to move up this narrow ass staircase (especially the damn box spring that doesn’t even bend, it BARELY fit)

My favorite pastime

 

If you count college I've moved at least ten times. But I didn't get the king until we bought the house. Once you're settled you gotta treat yo self.

 

We got the king when we got this apartment. Let's see though I've moved, 14 times since I was 11

 

home -> college
college -> home
home -> Manayunk (Philly)
Manayunk -> home
home -> apartment with my (then) girlfriend
apartment -> home (to save money for a house for 1.5 yrs)
home -> house we're in now

 

Also at some point you get to where you just hire some young 20 somethings or some like 45 year old dad strength beer bellied weirdos to move your shit because your back cannot take it

 

we plan to be out of this townhome into a single family home within the next ~6 months, and we are absolutely hiring movers

 

I hired my friends and used a company truck/trailer but we’ve been moving over the last 8 or 9 days really, just did all of the big stuff today

 

There's really no reason not to hire movers if you can afford it

It gives more time to deal with everything else going on in a move and also to easily point and direct where everything goes

 

We hired movers when we bought our second house. It was the smartest thing I’ve ever done.

 

Im just renting the house we're in but we hired movers for it

When we move out next year the budget will already include movers, i could never not use them from here on out

Also, a side benefit is it will probably make you throw out shit you dont really need

 

Dying at this. Football is before locations and images. You're more well known for high school football than proof you exist at all

 

I’m also terrified of roller coasters and think Disney rules.
