You can see a map of Moscow in the trailer. Pretty sure this will cover the escalation between the arms race with the USSR as well as Oppenheimer’s disagreement with the creation of the H-bomb.

Would love it if they included Oppenheimer’s disapproval of Nagasaki and Truman saying he never wants to see him again.

People are worried a nuke might go off in the movie.

 

people who can't separate themes being used in a film without being a personal endorsement.

There's a fake Scorsese quote I can never find that I always think of about how he "totally endorses lying, murder, etc..." which is why "the bad guys always come out on top" in his film

 

i am not concerned that Nolan enjoys nuking other countries, and I do not think that the movie will make me think that nuking other countries is good and fun. i will simply enjoy a film.

 

Remember when there were going to be violent acts at the Joker premieres?
