Chicago Night 2 was awesome and I am so glad I StubHub’d tickets last week.

Mark dedicating Cynical to Skiba and then drenching the stage in red and black lighting for the entire song was sick.

I had 4 thoughts tonight:
- Tom sings Skiba’s parts better than just about any other songs that he himself wrote.
- Up All Night absolutely rips on stage and makes it more of a shame Neighborhoods doesn’t sound better.
- Ghost on the Dancefloor should stay on the setlist forever.
- TRAVIS. FUCKING. BARKER.

 

I don’t know why anyone would want a band to open with the same song forever. The opening changing each tour makes much more sense to me. I’m glad they changed it up.

I would love them to add Carousel back into their set.

Are really dig deep and play A New Hope hasn't been played since 1998 and only played a handful of times.

 

They have opened with Feeling This since 2004 outside of their 2009 reunion tour and the Enema 20 Year Anniversary. It was absolutely time for a change.

I also like how WMAA is at the end too. I think they closed with it once or twice in 1999 and since then has been at the beginning of the set.

 

They get an entire block.... block-182.

I watched a bit of that facebook live stream last night (the one that was linked here) and I was cracking up when the guy streaming first saw the giant blink bunny popping out from the background. You see it over to the side of the screen and he pans straight over to it going "WHOOOAAA AHHHH"

 

It's helpful that I know Cynical has red lighting for finding it in that video lol

That makes sense! It looks awesome. I love all of the physical props they have going on along with the graphics. It looks incredible.

I shouldn't be surprised at this point, but I'm constantly amazed at the magnitude of this tour. I didn't think blink would be big enough in 2023 (even with Tom) to pack a stadium in the same city two nights in a row for a non-special show. And that's even charging crazy ticket prices.

 

They've really upped the production here, and made it feel like a legacy rock brand – even down to the bunny mascot walking around before the show. It's really cool.

 

10 shows before my date. Safe to say I think Not Now makes it into the set before then, but I just hope it sticks around.

It's so tough wanting to avoid seeing any photos but I just can't stay away. Too exciting.

 

Is turnstile selling a lot of merch on this tour?
