Ah, yeah, just saw that. I have all three movies on DVD so it's not a super necessary purchase anyways, just a good price!

 

But yeah everyone should watch Video Violence (and ESPECIALLY the sequel) on Tubi

 

Truth be told, the theme to VV lives rent free in my head at all times

 

100% my favorite relatively unknown score. Terror Vision has the vinyl!

 

Welp...Tigers Are Not Afraid absolutely fucked me up. Harrowing, beautiful film.

 

I should rewatch it honestly. I watched it on a sunday morning after it had just come out and i remember it made me cry

 

Crossing a big one off my alien list tonight and going to a friend’s to watch Close Encounters of the Third Kind. That one and Invasion of the Body Snatchers have escaped me for too long!

 

Where’s the best place to watch third Saturday in October?

 

I'm just purchasing both on Vudu unfortunately, unless someone reports back that they're really bad haha

 

I rented on Vudu, hopefully I can get to it tonight.

Lol the Video Violence movies were ridiculous (in a good way)

 

Close Encounters was classic Spielberg and man did I love it. The end was truly spectacular and you can really see how far and wide it’s influence spread in movies like Arrival and Nope. Waited way too long on this one. Also watched the directors cut instead of theatrical

 

Third Saturday in October Part V didn't nail it as much as I hoped, but still enough fun stuff to make it worth a watch.

 

Okay finally gonna do Dead Alive

 

Omg dude this movie is fucking unhinged

 

Yeah, it’s a lot of fun. The scene at the park is an all timer. I am very excited for you.

 

Wow no kidding. That scene and the finale are absolute must-sees for genre fans. Goodness, that made Evil Dead look weak

 

Would you recommend renting over buying?

 

Yeah, I'm glad I didn't just buy both of them. I feel like they didn't really get the aesthetic right, from the wardrobe to the filter they used make it look aged, it didn't really work for me. There's some cool shots and some funny stuff though. I'm still interested in seeing Part I. Kinda gave me some Satan's Little Helper vibes.
