  1. The crowd definitely skewed older. Lots of geriatric millennials

I am one of the few that are more excited about Up All Night and GOTD being played than the California songs

There’s so much to love about these shows, but it can’t go unnoticed (and it hasn’t) that Mark sounds so god damn good.

The crowd (on the whole) sucked. Can I say that?

They were *dead* for the last bit of Turnstile I saw when I first arrived. Lots of sitting. A bummer. Came alive for blink but man, how the hell do you not get up for those guys?

The crowd not knowing Turnstile is the least shocking thing I have heard.

To be fair, when I saw Turnstile in NZ the other month, I lasted all of about two songs before I had to bail my ass out of the pit. I forgot how physical hardcore shows can get and this crowd was particularly rowdy. I'm a 34 year old man and ain't got time for the aches and pains anymore baby!

I am so glad to get White Reaper & Turnstile. That is such an awesome lineup and I fully understand it won’t get appreciated by the majority of the crowd. It is what it is!

A pretty significant amount of people going to these shows probably have scarce knowledge of California/NINE & didn’t realize they were even touring/making music the last decade. I base this off several people I know going to the Boston show. I think it’d be asking a lot for these people to know Turnstile lol

Yea I’m one of those people,I know Turnstile very well,my best friend absolutely love them and I gave a chance every single of their record & understand people like them so much…still,me personally do not really care for them.
I’ll say Mystery is pretty good song though.

  13. After the drum solo and the song kicks back in for that final chorus, "Ghost on the Dance Floor" has never sounded this awesome!

"Bored to Death" and "Cynical" sound great. But you can definitely hear Thomas getting kinda lost in the melody of his verse on BTD. The song will become more his own as the tour goes on though, I'm sure.

Cool to hear "Adam's Song" with Thomas again. Thomas hadn't performed that one since 2009! Crazy!

Thomas is killing it! Time to watch more videos...

"My name's not Tom! My name is Thomas! No one named me Tom. They named me Thomas. Thomas Dayloange. Now that sounds fucking cool...er!"

I know some people will complain about it not being "real", but I thought GOTD sounded way better just letting Tom do the power chords and left that constant strumming pattern for the backing tracks. It filled out the song way better and also let Tom focus on nailing the vocals.

Sometimes when the guitar's rhythm is counter to the vocal melody, he can't really do them both simultaneously and that's when he starts to go off the rails with the mumble singing lol.

Anyone know why the three NY dates are the only dates not showing the diamond stage? Looking to move up to side stage but want to make sure the production will all be the same (why wouldn’t it be)

    Naked in Manhattan.

Perfectly put. It sounds so much better this way too.
Odd that people are complaining about anything at this point, really.
Tom's back. Blink's back. Playing songs we never expected the three of them to play. A massive tour.
Just shut up and enjoy the ride.

It was Greg before, but it appeared to be a female last night. I saw someone say it was a member of Chubby and the Gang, so I guess that’s probably it

Blink IS the culture… to a lot of fans. It is…

There is, and will never be, anything better, so why even bother going anywhere else?

Just the impression I’ve always had…

Lol who cares? Unless the crowd was actively being rude why does it matter that they weren’t into a band they didn’t know.

There’s something we need to remind ourselves, which I often point out to my friends when they discuss wanting deep cuts on setlists and stuff.

We have to keep in mind that the general population is not as nerdy or into music as we are. They like music sure, but 90% of the crowd at a show are what you’d call ‘casuals’. They want the hits, they want the old stuff. And they most likely have no idea who the openers are.

Not sure anyone here really does care that much? lol

I think we were all agreeing and assuming majority of blink fans at the shows prob won’t know Turnstile and that’s okay haha

When My Chemical Romance opened back in 2011 crowd still was tame.

Exactly… and people fall off the train too.

Where they used to keep up with alternative music, it’s like somewhere along the way, they just stopped… life picked up, got in the way, etc.

Most of us here probably are at the age where we began careers between now and the first Tom reunion… it’s been over 10 years.
