Tom just the playing the power chords during the verses of GOTDF makes it sound so much fuller live. Wasnt expecting that!

 

I forgot how much of an AVA song GOTDF is

 

Tom got to go a little AVA there in the bridge and with the guitar in the outro.

I think Tom likes the song.

 

GOTDF is really the only song I would rather be swapped out for something like After Midnight. Ghost is okay, I guess. Weakest song on the setlist for me.

 

Timebomb is GOTDF Part 2 imo

 

BTD and cynical sound so good with tom. Hell yeah.

This guy has posted the best videos I've seen, including Ghost on the Dance Floor, Up All Night, Cynical, Bored to Death. He knows what we wanted

 

They should put out an EP with a couple new songs and re-recordings of BTD and Cynical with Tom.

I can't get over how good those songs are with Tom. They sound so natural haha.

 

They sound even better than they did at Coachella.

 

I like that after 20 years they are finally changing it up a bit. Plus it reminds me of my favorite era of the band (2001-2002) and the Pop Disaster Tour.

Steve, my guy. I am one of those people who completely doubted it would actually happen. I know Mark said it, but based off the everything about Tom I didn’t actually expect it.

I was wrong and 10000% completely glad I was wrong! BTD & Cynical with Tom sounded so cool and I thought the ending on Cynical “I’m sorry I’m sorry” was specifically perfect.

This is my personal Era’s tour. (will be seeing blink & Taylor Swift in back to back nights in a few weeks)

 

Judging by the look on Tom and marks faces during those songs and how into it tom was getting during them, I’d say not painful at all

Okay I take back what I said earlier in the thread.

The parts I thought Tom would struggle with he nailed, and the only thing that didn’t work for me was his attempt at Matt’s verse on Bored to Death. I guess shouty Matt is much closer to shouty Tom than crooning Matt is to crooning Tom — my mistake!

 

You can tell the crowd got older, the GA section looked dead compared to the Coachella vids.

Also, weird that no in the arena seemed to know who Turnstile was?
