LOL apparently this is the second time I’ve posted about this in a two page thread. Evidently 5 years will make you forget some things

 

bummer... i saw them with Unwritten Law just a small handful of years ago, with Will in the band, and it was awesome. i guess i can cross them off my "want to see" list for WWWY and hopefully catch a different band i want to see that overlaps time slots.

Will is the most integral part of the band. That’s like Finch playing without Nate - sure there’s other great musicians left but what’s the point?

I remember when they played with Unwritten Law in Boston 7 years ago (holy shit) and Will lost his voice and let the fans sing the entire set.That was fun and truly understandable.
This…is not.

 

A lot of guys have passed through that band, but if Fenix TX is playing I expect to see Will on the mic and Adam on the bass. That’s wild.

 

Judging by the picture, it looks like the lineup is Damon, Chris and Adam Lewis and Donnie?

 

Yo put the Small Hands back on bass I may show up for that haha

Just wanted to say Threesome is such a good song. Bummer about Will. Not going to WWWY but they would have been at the top of my list if he was there and I was going.

Did a deep dive into Fenix TX a few weeks back. Noticed that Damon hadn't played with them in a decade or so. Weird that he's back in and Will's out. Also, never realized the Rubin brothers were in Denver Harbor with Will (post Fenix TX's first breakup).

There's some cool, old stuff of theirs on this channel. Interesting to see how some of the Lechuza songs progressed between when they were written and recorded.

 

IIRC, making “Lechuza” basically tore the band apart.

Looking back, the announcement of Will not playing on the reunion tour years back was weird since they didn’t really state a reason, other than there’s no bad blood.

I think them deleting comments about Will and straight up not mentioning him kind of says otherwise. If it’s health reasons, which we aren’t owed an explanation about, that’s one thing. But everything else about this kind of stinks.

 

Dang that sucks will definitely is needed his voice is the band

 

Yeah singer and songwriter not being consulted about it at all … is a choice I guess.

 

I love Fenix TX, but I still maintain that Denver Harbor was peak Will, and it's a shame there was no follow-up to Scenic.

 

Someone on Reddit said that the person singing for them in WWWY is going to be a big surprise and is someone well known.
