I think they may just ride out the hype of them playing shows again, without releasing any new music for a bit. but I'm cool with that!

I don't know why we keep saying that Coachella was the best they've sounded since 2004.....They sounded pretty bad in this 2004 clip haha. I'd say these last two shows were the best they've ever sounded.

 

I think it's cuz people romanticize certain time periods of their life. I'm guilty of it myself. At least vocally back then Tom wasn't emulating AVA voice cuz AVA didn't exist yet lol

This has always been one of my all time favorite pro shot sets from them.

 

I actually put on TOYPAJ last night and played along with the whole thing on guitar despite probably never even playing half of those songs before.

It still amazes me that they were able to pump out so many absolute classic songs that are basically just three chords (particularly Mark's songs), and a lot of them are even in the same key. It takes a lot of skill to do so much with so little.

So basically, Tom has a point - we can't do what they do.

Another reason I prefer week one to week two is I loved seeing them backstage for a few minutes before they went on.. I wish there was audio to hear what they're saying and talking about.. but just seeing them back there together gave me goosebumps before the set even started.

y'all weren't lying about this Stay Together, they killed that shit. thought Always felt a bit under rehearsed honestly but still solid.

weekend 1 > 2 on the whole but still really glad I watched both. bridge of WMAA had me choking up

 

Tom taking over the second half of the bridge is interesting.

 

Mark posted this morning on discord “Today is a studio day” so they apparently still have work of some sort to do.

 

He’s a liar, album is done

 

I’m sure they do. Doesn’t mean we can’t still get something. Let me dream!

Could be final touch ups before it goes to mix and mastering. We could still get a single/album announcement any day now.



Honestly, I want this so bad. However, I am seeing them in 3 weeks and I’m just happy they’re back. I’m sure whenever it does announce and release it’s gonna be a damn good album

I've slowly transitioned from "needing the album right now" to being happy they're taking their time with it and fully wanting a well thought out effort.

I think the Coachella buzz and tour starting are satisfying my blink cravings because for a while there we had minor insta/discord updates from studio, tour announcement, and a 6-month-ago released single.

This year is going to be great for blink.
