I wish Coachella had left both streams up. I want to rewatch them so much right now

 

So how long does mixing and mastering usually take? Let's say theoretically they finish tracking everything next Wednesday, what would be the earliest we could hear the album?

 

I’ve tried getting into Turnstile multiple times and it just does nothing for me. It feels like background punk. Fine if i’m not actively paying attention. I understand this is a me problem and i’m content with that.

 

A couple months. But I think they’re done tracking they haven’t been posting pics in the studio like they were for over a month now I think

 

Kind of an impossible question to answer accurately because we don't know how much they've already mixed or will need to re-mix (send to other people for a different mixdown, retracking parts, etc.) They could have already knocked out a lot of that along the way or that could still be ahead of them. Same goes for mastering - it could take less than a week or could take months depending on how it's going. It also depends on if they are really trying to cram 21 tracks onto this thing which will obviously make it take longer.

I know 2023 is a different era, but the last few records have had a two month span between the time that they were announced and the time they were released so... I would think that is at least a good rough indicator that this would be later in the summer at the earliest. But again, all speculation. Hopefully they just surprise drop it next week. ha.

 

also looking…. I downloaded the video by accident, which worked out well for a flight yesterday haha. But now hoping to get the audio of show 2. Even better if it’s cut into tracks

 

So today they start teasing right?

It’s Gaslight Anthem teasing day at least…their single can def help me to get through the waiting for the blink single

 

Really can’t be having Gaslight and blink releasing music on the same day lol - so blink can wait another week!

 

Cleaning the house to Blink on shuffle last night. Misery came on. As good if not better than a number of songs on California. Would have been a great song on the back third of the album. I forget about California Deluxe, but there are some strong songs on there.

 

Last train home and 6/8 are two of the best songs from the cali era and I’ll die on that hill

I love me some hardcore drinking water. Pairs well with Turnstile.

 

Well... I suppose this buys the boys a few more weeks of no marketing/new music.

Same here. I thought I was alone, haha. I've listened to Turnstile Love Connection a handful of times front to back and it just never hooks me.
