If I could just forget it

I remember my brother and I hearing Adam's Song on the radio and deciding we needed to head to Wal-Mart to "purchase" the album. We loved WMAA and that cemented it for us.

We were not pleased when we realized it was the clean version.

  2. Not on the original run there weren't! We were sharing the UPC numbers around AIM like animals.

  3. Do you even know what 5 Seconds of Summer sounds like? haha. They're basically an All Time Low clone and super poppy. "BTD" sounded just like early 2000s Blink to my ears and I was all about it haha.

I was listening to BOTD for the first time outside of work (I work in a bar) and half way through my first listen, I had to calm down a very mentally unwell person who had a breakdown outside of the pub and was threatening guests

I will never forget that experience, and I do really enjoy that tune on its own merits

Yeah that was the first one I bought before I knew they had three different editions lol. Still have all three. Not wrapped though, that's yours?

  6. My memory is they didn't start putting those on until later, the TRL interview with the band had them admit the label did this and they didn't really like it and told people to borrow from your friends not buy all three.

Yeah, it was completely random. I can’t believe I didn’t think to check the UPC numbers. I feel like a damn fool!

  10. Yeah, I remember them saying that too. Now I'm second guessing myself haha. I can't remember if my CD had the colored sticker on the front or not. I got it the day it came out though, so maybe not? I don't know if I've ever seen an unopened digipack CD without a sticker on it. Mandala Effect is in full force right now...

it doesn’t really sound like untitled at all to me (and if it sounds remotely like toypaj it’s a very sweetened version of that) but ok! whatever. ppl love the feldmann albums here and they agree with you

“bored to death” is a super poppy song, just imo

Also I bought two of these when it came out and kept one sealed

  15. 5 Seconds is closer to All Time Low and even One Direction haha but whatever. It's not as poppy as "First Date" or something like that. But either way, I think a song like "Happy Days" is closer to that 5 Seconds sound than one like "Bored to Death." IMEO (in my ears opinion) at least.

  16. a few years ago, before the band reunited in 2009, one of my brothers (the one who loved Eiffel 65 and Pokemon) and I were feeling nostalgic and decided to go to the store to buy a Blink CD, for fun, haha. he bought Enema and I bought the jewel case version of TOYPAJ because I didn't have that one, and thought it'd be cool to have that.

  20. My memory of Enema and TMTTS CD releases are more in my mind than TOYPAJ. TOYPAJ definitely leaked early, so I don't have the same going to the store memory with it as much.

I got TOYPAJ on the way up to a cottage where I spent the next 4 days listening to it nonstop while laying on a dock. What a time to be alive

  22. I got Enema the day it came out. Capital B, red cross, and no PA sticker. Still have it. I eventually bought that CD again later though because my liner booklet was falling apart from folding and unfolding it a million times over the years. Good times. I’m glad physical media is making more of a comeback for the younger generation so they can experience an album in a form that isn’t just MP3/streaming.

    Okay, playing catch up.

    They are big bad.
Both are bad. People who enjoy them are outliers. Which there’s nothing wrong with.

I’ll be asleep because I have a job. I guess this is growing up.

That’s funny, considering that WMAA is the same chords and partially same progression as When I Come Around. Not saying they “stole it” or anything. Super common progression. Just funny.

I saw WMAA on TRL and when they played naked at spring break. My friend got EOTS and we jammed it so much.

My day of release had the red sticker on it. I bought green and yellow shortly after. The only one I recall having no color sticker was the edited version. I bought it for shits and giggles.

I feel like my TOYPAJ cd did have the red sticker, because I remember it making sense once I found out about the other two versions

Oh. And I don’t remember the first time I heard Up All Night, BTD, or Edging.
