Vagrant is all about 10 inches.

 

Maybe if they have enough cancellations they’ll melt them down and try again.

 

Which makes sense because they also used to be a record label!

 

Man, ya'll really hate 10" records.

 

Because full length records sound like garbage on them

 

They sound bad, they don’t fit cohesively with the rest of my collection, and there is no reason for them to exist.

 

Real bummer about those alk3 records.

I would very much like Good Mourning on vinyl, but I will wait until a proper re-pressing comes.

 

Maybe Vagrant thinks they can get more money if they can charge for 2 records instead of 1? It's a really odd choice.

 

Weird request- But if anyone is going out for RSD and you come across the Macho Man vinyl, I’d gladly pay the amount to ship and a finder’s fee. Our local store is only getting one and sadly, I’m not the only freak around here wanting it.

I am also a noob and have been told to clean the needle so I should probably do that soon to help.

 

I'm surprised Vagrant didn't try to do a 3x10" set for Remains.

I own one 10 inch, it’s a Brave Bird EP, and I will never own a full length record that’s pressed on 2x10, doesn’t matter how much I like it. It’s 100% a cash grab to charge more for twice as much wax, same as a lot of ~45-48 min records that get reissued as 2x12 or maybe with the fourth side etched. Before the vinyl resurgence you’d have to at least pass 50 min before they’d even think about putting out a double LP

 

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck. I've been on such a Trio kick lately and went from super stoked to dejected when seeing those represses are 10". What exactly is the logic behind Vagrant's 10" fetish?

 

Also Vagrant’s web store was super quick to respond about it being a 10 inch vinyl, and now radio silence on my return. They have til monday before I dispute it on my credit card haha.

 

I mean it’s late afternoon eastern time on a Friday, maybe chill a little bit especially since it’s not the fault of the person answering emails?

 

I had no idea people had such an issue with 10” records? I own 5, along with the Petals For Armor boxset and they’re all fine. None of them are full lengths though

 

Chill? In this economy? They also refunded it since the post haha. Also for anyone that may have been in the same boat, the response I got said this was an exception and that going forward they would not issue a return. I get that it’s standard language, but the original posting had no mention of item specifics.

 

i have 6 10 inch records. only ever find myself excited to play one of them on a frequent basis (Rotoscope by Spiritbox). the others are either an afterthought included in a mystery bundle from an indie label (Creature of Habit by Waypoint), bowled to shit (ZII by TDWP), or are two song singles (Rare Symmetry/Fade Into You by American Football, and Initiation/Protection and Day One/Vivien by Crosses). they're fine as a format, but definitely not for a full album.

 

The only way I would tolerate 10 inch lps is if they were used for singles or EPs exclusively

 

Even then, I’d rather it just be a 12 inch.

I think they meant me specifically if I wanted another return, I guess you get one mulligan. But it literally didn’t have the item description originally. Oh well.
