Hell yeah Digital Veil rules. Their first album was fun but this one was miles better (never listened to the second one tbh). Riffs are so much better. Terrible art tho lol

I hit that Black Dahlia tour last night and was seriously so good. Such an unbelievable ripper of a lineup. Was my first time getting to see Frozen Soul and they got a BIG reaction, very very cool.

Let's start with a few new songs from VHS (aka Violent Homicidal Slasher) who are a Canadian death/thrash/grind outfit. Ok thrash might be the least of their elements, but this stuff rips. Some of their album titles: "Deep Gashes and Long Lashes" "I Heard They Suck...Blood" and "We're Gonna Need Some Bigger Riffs." Hopefully that tells you all you need to know. Album comes out next month:

Next is the new album from Holy Moses, a German speed/thrash band that has been around since the 80's. They are fronted by a 59 year old woman. Do I even need to say more?

And lastly we have a new album from Wild Beyond, a black/thrash band from Philly. Part of me feels like this was already posted but it came out last week so maybe not:

Just finished Super Collider on my Megadeth listen through, one of those cases where the bonus tracks trump anything on the actual album lol.

Super Collider and Thirteen are the only releases I'm pretty down on so far.

 

Indeed, happy Bell Witch, Predatory Void, Portrayal of Guilt, Smoulder, etc release day to all those that celebrate

 

Drone/noise/ambient project from the frontman of Primitive Man.

 

Well, that sure is a Bell Witch album. Synths are a nice addition I guess but hoo boy, gotta be in a mood for that.

Smoulder rips but I'm still not super sold on the vocals, but the music is so good it almost doesn't matter

I'm only a quarter of the way through it, but absolutely loving this Bell Witch album so far. The synths are indeed a nice addition.

 

I haven't had a chance to listen yet, but the artwork for the new Portrayal of Guilt goes dummy hard

 

Currently at the Taylor Swift show and the opener Beabadoobee’s guitarist is rocking a Celtic Frost shirt which is sick

 

Ask them to cover dethroned emperor

 

Yeah this thing is massive

 

The sound/style sort of reminds me of the New England metal scene circa 2000, in terms of the guitar tone, production, quiet moments, etc
