At one point a fan commented something along the lines of "It looked like you had blurred out Yellowcard performing Ocean Avenue for the 20th anniversary. When is that going to be official?" And John D responded "check back in a couple of weeks!"

So they never outright right said they were playing, but he definitely was trying to lead people to believe they were. Just like when he was "dropping hints" back in January alluding to Lil Uzi Vert and Taking Back Sunday, and when he posted the "Put Up or Shut Up" picture alluding to All Time Low.

Never confirmed those acts, but he knew exactly what he was doing.

 

I’d wager a bet this doesn’t happen.

 

There was so much tongue n cheek hinting at bands in the beginning without saying it. Like that whole video done to the black parade of the site and whatever he said at the end about being emo or whatever it was.

 

Even knowing the dates, I still felt like this was a ways off, so seeing that it's in 2 weeks made this even more fascinating, if that's even possible.

Yes! So everyone seems to think in the Bamboozle group thread, John D created a burner account and is in there commenting and harassing people about their negative attitude towards the fest.

 

John’s reporter friend from the pod approached Scamboozle under the guise of “writing a story” and wanted them to identify themselves.

Even if he wasn’t going to immediately give John their name (I think he was) it’s incredibly poor judgment and bad optics.

 

I’m fascinated he still believes Scamboozle is responsible for the bad press and ticket sales…and ya know not all that other shit people have said.

I remember once a security dude took the setlist out of my hands and put it in his pocket and laughed at me. It was probably the same one.

The entire festival will be the vip area because every one in attendance has a vip ticket. Sounds about right from him.

On the scamboozle Instagram people are speculating Finch dropped as Bamboozle nor John D follows them on Instagram anymore.

Maybe its a stretch or maybe they are right and Finch is the next band to drop.
