Wonder who’s on drums. To me, that doesn’t sound like Dave which is what I thought they were gonna do.

Agreed. I feel like there is no other drummer who should honor Taylor's legacy on albums moving forward other than Dave.

This was my first reaction to that too. Josh is undoubtedly a fantastic drummer but I feel like he’s a temporary side gig type drummer and not a full official member.

Yeah, and I feel like he digs being that guy too. Like he’s random band, singer, session guy extraordinaire. I could be wrong tho.

I enjoy this song. I think it'll sound great live.

As for the next drummer, my fingers are crossed for Atom Willard.

Really happy to see them back. Never had any doubt; just so surprised it is happening so soon!

My gut is telling me that it is Dave on the drums, even if it doesn’t necessarily sound like his signature style. I think, for me, the most preferable scenario would be Dave on the drums in the studio and then have a touring member on the drums.

He’d kill that. One of my favorite part of the AVA records (early ones) is his drumming

Speaking of Atom he's in a new band with Hunter (AFI) and Skiba

My username will give me away on this but... I have strong opinions (and theories!). This drumming does not sound like Dave at all, and frankly I think he wouldn't want to return to the drums for FF, although that's what a LOT of fans (myself included) would hope/expect. I think he'd see it as a betrayal of Taylor. I also think it would be hard for the band to be involved in the tracking if Dave's pulling double-duty on drums and guitar.

To me this sounds like Josh Freese doing his best Taylor Hawkins tribute. The fills in particular sound like a total tribute to Taylor's style.

Boring first single, hoping the rest is better, though I won't get my hopes up

Josh Freese will be their drummer on tour:
Still no word on who played drums on the LP, but this may be the biggest confirmation yet that it was Josh behind the kit

So are they just doing live drummers ? So Taylor will always be their official drummer
