Man, I played a little bit of Gex: Enter the Gecko last night and had an absolute blast.

 

omg someone in the comments mentioned Star Wars 1313 and brought back memories of that game being shown off years ago
and now i'm remembering that it never came out- when did that get cancelled?

Beating Sekiro changed my life

 

idk for me bosses are just gatekeeping me from seeing the rest of the game, I have never really enjoyed beating bosses (which is probably while I like BOTW so much since I can still technically see most of the game at my own pace/leisure -- and the bosses are total pushovers)

 

That's so funny, I'm the exact opposite and most often I'm just wanting to see and fight bosses and dissect the mechanics and stuff, which is probably why I love Sekiro and DS3 so much

 

obviously there's people that really enjoy bosses, just like you, which is why boss rush games exist -- I would never dream playing one of them because that's the opposite of what interests me in games. That's why initially I wasn't super excited about Cuphead until they announced proper levels.

 

I like both. I like a vast and interesting world to explore and I love big crazy bosses. Probably a result of my 8-bit upbringing, playing Mario, Zelda, Contra, Mega Man, and Castlevania all in equal measure.

 

I don’t think I ever beat a non-Sekiro from soft boss without a summon lol

i am only truly good at shooty shooty games

 

I don't think I'm actually good at FromSoft bosses from the get go for what its worth haha, I just have the stubbornness to beat my head against the wall enough, probably from FFXIV raiding experience

 

Orphan of Kos is probably the only FromSoft boss I fought where I felt like I was good at it from the start

 

The button orientation threw me off but it must be a Pro. What crazy person puts B on the bottom?

 

How are you at Maria? I have a theory that if your good at Kos, you're trash at Maria and vice versa.

 

I'm very good at Maria but I think that's because I put in a lot of work to master Sister Friede first and Friede is like a harder Maria in a lot of ways

 

Well there goes that theory

 

You know I've been beating this drum. Bosses are only a thing because they have been grandfathered in.

I tried to mess around with it a little but will give it another go. Used to be able to glide so easily with those C buttons
