They are 100% getting into the rock hall eventually

Better than any AVA or skiba-blink album

Lol I never heard of White Reaper before this announcement and I just saw their credit in MLB The Show right now, this song in the game sounds pretty great

Mark is the undisputed kind of all bridges and Lillian is by far my favorite bridge from him ever. I would have loved a follow-up to the first album and still wish we had an entire album of Mark, Travis, and Carol Heller. All of that being said +44 is pretty rad as a one-and-done release. Always gets a lot of plays in February for me (Deep into winter with no end in sight vibes)

Had that thought during the show. While I do think Blink deserves it as a band, Travis definitely deserves the recognition as a musician spanning so many projects for so many years as a producer and drummer.

Would be sick if this album blows us away and gets a grammy. It was rad they got a nomination for California, but a win would be amazing.

the +44 record is probably my first or second favourite record of all time. mark was on some next level shit when he wrote that.

The +44 album perfectly encapsulates 2007 for me. I haven't spun it in a while, looks like today's the day.

I was also gonna post Pink Slip in here earlier, that song absolutely slaps and is off their last album which only came out a few months ago!

He also deserves criticism for making blink write Brohemian Rhapsody.

I really wish we could get a +44 repress. I think Chapter 13 is the best song Mark has written.

He should've stopped blink from recording that one, but he didn't make Mark come up with that pun lol

  18. We don’t need to rehash that cycle of this thread again. But people give John too much shit for things the band wanted to do and sound like. The cliche of attributing what you like to a band, what you don’t to a producer (to paraphrase Butch Walker) feels very apropos to this genre specifically.

That's fair. I haven't listened to a lot of other work Feldmann has done, and I do enjoy a lot of Goldfinger's music. I'm basing my irrational criticism on one song from California and an in-person interaction with him where he wouldn't sign my friends Goldfinger CD, and was really rude. I'm not in the camp of "John co-wrote California", but I am in the camp that I think it plays it too safe as an album, which is what made NINE so refreshing.

Oh man, I have White Reaper on my date and I haven't gotten around to checking them out yet but judging by the reaction in here it sounds like I need to get on that asap

God bless you. Start with You Deserve Love (their best, IMHO) followed by World’s Greatest American Band or Asking for a Ride. They make good singles and GREAT albums. Very little fat in any release.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

finally found some time to watch the stream. some bumpy banter at the start aside - yes Tom, we can’t do what you do, we get it - this was great. one shot of Mark with the biggest smile on his face during, I think Dysentery Gary hit me really hard. as a big AVA2.0 fan, it's still easy to forget just how magnetic Mark and Tom are together onstage at their best

great, great stuff. but add Going Away to College next time boys
