Yeah I like them for some of the new releases, but I agree that anything that wasn’t specifically made for it definitely lacks

Agree that Miss Missing You is one of their all time best songs. I'd put The Phoenix and title track up there too. Crazy how much nostalgia I have for that album now

Atmos was a fun gimmick for a week and now I despise it.

There are two records that i don't "get" from this band and both are beloved on this forum. SRAR and IOH.

I've listened to both to know that they're good they just don't do anything for me as a whole album.

IOH is leagues above SRAR, their most matured version of the original pop-punk sound--wouldn't dare to lump the two albums together--but SRAR is still a pretty fun pop record. TBH, I haven't wanted to return to it in years though, while I still get IOH cravings all the time.

I’d take SRAR over IOH, I think? But both are great and I don’t have to actually choose.

I think IOH was a great bridge between FUTCT and FAD. It’s just “them.”

"Miss Missing You" is a song that should have been huge. The lines "Sometimes before it gets better, the darkness gets bigger. The person that you'd take a bullet for is behind the trigger" are some of Pete's best.

I gravitate to AB/AP more than SRAR and IOH.

EDIT: Mania being 35 minutes also gets me more into it too.

The Phoenix and Miss Missing You are the two I still love on that album.

Agreed, especially with FOB it was extremely noticeable (and a worse listen). Other artists their tracks were way too quiet. I'll stick with lossless audio option and be on my way.

  14. SRAR holds up imo

atmos is really kind of broken on their albums lol — if you listen to rat a tat with it on courtney is like completely gone

In fairness this might be the one instance of atmos being awesome

Another “Save Rock and Roll is Fall Out Boy in peak form” post from me!

Tried to figure out my favorite track from it, and narrowed it down to “Where Did the Party Go” into “Just One Yesterday” (gotta cheat and pick them both). I’d probably round out my top five with “My Songs,” “Rat A Tat,” & “The Phoenix”? But, like, very few of those tracks on that thing fall short of “banger” status, and literally none are duds.

I’ve been listening to IOH a ton lately. their huge ambitions started to really come through on that album, I mean arms race and mmrs felt like atomic bombs going off when they dropped I specifically remember being 14 and hearing arms race and my mind being blown to pieces

after being huge into TTTYG and FUTCT, I wasn't into IOH at all when it came out and I don't know if I've ever listened to it in full since. i'll rectify that this weekend

Similar experience. Loved TTTYG when it came out. Liked FUTCT. Heard Mmrs and Arms Race first off it and pushed IOH to the side never to be listened to again for close to a decade. I like it now but I had a very bad first experience with it.

I was the same when it came out. Somewhere around 2011 I listened to it and couldn't put it down. Same with Follie and ever since they're my 2 most played FOB albums (for now).
