based on what they’re saying about this variant, it’s basically super immune evasive while also increasing the amount of viral load in the upper respiratory tract. So we end up being more contagious for longer without knowing we’re sick. And then on top of that it’s looking a bit more deadly than the omicron strains have been, including some unconfirmed reports on it jacking children up pretty badly.

basically there seems to be some possibility early on that this strain is a combo of all the worst stuff about delta and omicron (and later omicron strains). If that is the case it could be really bad.

 

It's a company trying to make more money by a using an influencer to tap into their followers. Pretty much he's like its standard marketing and all companies are doing it. He did say the Kid Rock video was funny but that came after I posted that comment.

And yes he will have a terrible person or say something fucking vile again and probably on this podcast episode if I decide to continue to listen to it.

thats been the worry with a couple of specific strains, B5 and the most recent XBB1/1.5 ones iirc. B5 caused a pretty bad wave here, whereas XBB’s wave wasn’t as bad, but XBB was super immune evasive and caused a lot of people who had just gotten infected with B5 to catch it again a few months later. That’s what you worry about here—-a new strain immune evasive enough to get people sick again 2-6 months later. The way this thing damages the body, you really really really want to avoid multiple infections in a short period of time if you can.
