In the show Ed Edd & Eddie, Eddie is always talking about his big brother. In the series finale movie his brother finally shows up and he’s a huge prick and all of the other culdesac kids feel sorry for Eddie

I just binged watched 2-6 and I think it’s pretty great. Wonder if binge vs weekly skews that lol

 

Maybe. Maybe the 6 days between makes me think “ok the next episode cant be as bad right” and then it sometimes is

 

I didn’t hate this as much as apparently a lot of people. Kinda just reminded me of a season 1 or Rebels episode. Not enough stakes or plot this season imo. No overarching story that feels worthy. Following Andor that excelled in story didn’t help.

I think it was back when Andor came out, but the best criticism i’ve seen of Star Wars fandom is that when people complain the story isn’t adult enough, they don’t mean Andor. They think that’s boring. The toxic fandom wants “Deadpool” adult. Any attempts at more mature storytelling seem to immediately be rebutted by either glossy or dumbed down storytelling that we’re getting in this show now.

GROGU MECHA

 

Gotta be honest, despite liking the last few episodes, including this one, I am kind of underwhelmed that the season finale is once again a showdown with Gideon. We went from special troopers, to dark troopers, to beskar imperial suits. But it’s still all just Gideon wanting something Grogu/Darksaber. And like, sure, it’s Star Wars. They have planet killing laser weapons in like half the movies, so the franchise sticks with the whole “it’s like poetry, they rhyme” thing. But I guess I’m tired of Gideon.

I am guessing next week will reveal either the Armorer or Ax or both are spies for Gideon. I’m leaning towards the armorer, but both conveniently are away for the trap.

I’m recalling that someone had posted a concept art of a Grogu suit thing like IG-12 a ways back. Was it an IG unit? Anyone recall what I’m talking about?

 

Their fight was pretty underwhelming though.

The IG/Grogu mech and the Imperial Mandos were both part of the early leaks, so I wouldn't doubt that you saw a mock up of the former.

 

I watch it first thing as I get ready for the day.

You have to understand that getting ready for the day means laying in bed for like 20 minutes and not everything I do requires me to look away from my tablet.
