I think it was Bush - Sixteen Stone for me when I was 9 lol. Purchased the cassette with saved up allowance.

all past stuff aside it’s been wild catching up on the last few pages here. did thoroughly enjoy the description of ap.net

fob post reunion albums are a wild ride. SRAR is flawless, AB/AP is about 7/10 with a lot of weird tracks (the title track??), and mania is…mania

not a surprise that core fans love this album more than the mainstream public, will be interesting to see how their received live IMO by the general fan who likes centuries, uma thurman, my songs, etc etc

It was 4th grade for me. It's the oldest CD I own too.

Kids these days just don't get it.

We reach for the longest shadow

My first CD was Creed's Weathered and when I first got it I just listened to My Sacrifice over and over again. I didn't have a full grasp on using the CD as a means to listen to songs I wasn't already familiar with.

I pretty much listened to soundtracks and orchestral music for most of my childhood. The first (and only) cassette album I heard was Jagged Little Pill.

First actual CDs I got were Santana's Supernatural and then Eminem's The Marshall Mathers LP. Then I just started getting CDs from bands I knew and liked from the radio, like Matchbox Twenty's Mad Season, Goo Goo Dolls' Dizzy Up The Girl, Papa Roach's Infest, 3 Doors Down's The Better Life, Creed's Human Clay, and Incubus' Make Yourself.

My first CD was Move Along by The All-American Rejects. My mom got it for my 10th birthday after I loved the song in a Bionicle commercial lmao

  18. I think my first non-soundtrack CD that I bought myself was Let’s Face It by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones.

I think my first CD was Smash Mouth l
and then Fergie, and then I went to a Best Buy with some bday money one day and got like 4 cds. I think it was Move Along, Hawthorne Heights (if only you were lonely), red jumpsuit apparatus, and 30 seconds to mars lol it was a big day!

Been waking up with random songs from this stuck in my head ever since it came out. Enjoying this a bunch more than their previous two.

My first cd was Backstreet Boys. I wanted Enema of the State SO DAMN BAD for my 8th birthday but my mom wouldn’t get it cause there was “a porn star on the cover”. So I got Now 4 instead, which included All the Small Things lol

man i love Fake Out so much. it reminds me so much of JEW’s Chase This Light; I hear Let It Happen and Always Be all over it. not too big on the bridge though. really dont like the lyrics on that part. it feels so clunky

My first album was Toby Keith's Shock'n Y'all. I'm jealous of everyone in this thread and their cool first CDs.

The only bit that really jars with me on this album is the reprise of LFTOS in the bridge of the last song. I know it's going for the same vibe as What A Catch, but the line just doesn't work rhythmically for me. If it didn't have the "I'm not sure" I think it would work better.
