If you fly me in for the show and then back home, I’ll buy it.

This is your life, are you who you want to be?

Great album, I hope all is well with Andrew. A few of these songs hit pretty hard.

This album is a lot about looking back to what was. Smoke & Ribbons is a perfect closer since it is about accepting it all and moving forward. I hope that’s where he is at now.

I heard that. I’d add it to setlist fm if I knew where it went in the set

I didn't realize till now, but when Bobby joined the touring band, Andrews live band IS Jacks Mannequin, all 4 members are his 4 members. Why didn't I realize this before??

Haha yea, it’s the final Jack’s lineup plus Zac Clark. Zac did play with Andrew as Jack’s in 2016, but he was not involved with the official era of Jack’s.

I thought Zac left the wilderness, there was a whole goodbye show and everything

He did. Then Morgan was in his place for 2020-2021ish. He did his own project. I’m guessing it didn’t go too well or something like that, because he was back last year for Hello Gone Days, if not earlier in the year. And it seems he is here to stay.

I could be wrong, but on Zac’s IG earlier this week, he posted a story which made it seem he was only back for the album release shows. I guess time will tell.

It’s possible. There was never any announcement or anything that he was back or anything, or for how long. I’d be surprised if that’s true though. Would be weird to do all the touring last year and then stop a couple days after a meeting touring phase starts. I guess we will see.

This is the most immediate AMITW album since the self-titled in 2014, for me. The others have taken a few listens to click. Planning to pick up today while running errands.

This album is good, not grabbing me in the way his other albums have though.

the only song really clicking with me right now is "Nobody Tells You When You're Young" I feel like Upside Down Flowers is much stronger IMO

I really enjoy this record! Most I’ve liked a new project from him since the first Wilderness record. It’s like he took the sound of Zombies On Broadway and made it arena-ready while also leaning into his more SoCo esque songwriting tics.

The more I listen, the more it's starting to come together for sure. I think the weird album roll-out probably didn't help my initial perception, but this is a really good record. A step above Zombies, a step below self-titled and Upside Down Flowers.

Sadly, I think this is probably my least favorite album he’s ever released under any moniker. Just isn’t for me. But I will love him unconditionally until the end of my days regardless.

I still come back to it a lot as of now, enjoying it for what it is for sure! My only drawback is that the cover art is definitely not my vibe, looks like it could be used for his 2013 EP and well, I just liked what's been used for all the current different singles so much more. Funnily enough, I'm pretty sure it's all by the same artist/designer
