I didn’t really go back to MMOG, but I really like this.

Forgot just how much I love Andy’s voice. Lose You Again is breathtakingly beautiful.

Mmog and TVOV both are great for different reasons. But MMOG is probably a bit more easier for me to binge. Both are excellences additions to the bands discog.

Revisited MMOG last week for the first time in almost two years and, yeah, still a snoozer of an album for me. I forgot what most of the songs sounded like an was immediately reminded of why

How do you feel about Black Mile?

I like Black Mile. Not as much as I used to. I think Black Mile was, for the most part, paced better and a little more lively to me. Feel like MMOG just mostly dies out after Bed Head.

With that said, I think I’m over this band trying to be concept-heavy and trying to sound grander than they actually are. I jokingly come in here saying things like “Let it rip again boys,” but I actually mean it.

That isn’t to say I want a Cope Part 2. I think, for the most part, this band was at their best with ILAV and METN. Though there was a healthy balance of styles on those two first albums. If they could add a hint of the atmosphere from their recent material, that’d be cool, but I’m over how muted this band has become.

I tried making a top 10 MO songs list and it was too difficult. I have a general idea of Top 5, but after that the next 5 have like 20 songs all vying for it.

The live versions of I Can Barely Breathe, Pride, Dinosaur, Shake it Out and others would also push those up a lot.

This is similar to what I say when people ask me my top 10 movies but I say "Can I count Fellowship/Two Towers/Return of the King as one movie?"

I gotta say, almost six years removed from the release of Black Mile, I don’t think the payoff of The Grocery hits the way it should after The Alien and The Sunshine. I realize I’m likely in the minority with that opinion, but oh well
