I almost hesitate to ask because The T is already a burning clusterfuck of ineptitude, dysfunction, and incompetence, but can you explain why his being appointed is bad please...?

 

My opinion is that it’s going to be a year or two while he organizes the mess that was created but probably won’t do anything useful otherwise. That’s basically what he did for the lirr before he unexpectedly retired, he was very disliked for not fixing much. The trains got dirtier than they used to be, constantly be late or too early and there would be maga shit drawn allover the place lol that’s what I’ve read anyway. Hopefully he balances your books as quickly as possible.

 

Thanks. That is not great to hear. I'm assuming that their books are indeed a mess, but honestly that's the least of their problems as far as I'm concerned - trains are already dirty as hell and late all of the time. I haven't noticed an inordinate amount of maga shit, but I wasn't paying attention / looking for that and honestly I'd probably just basically ignore that / tune it out.

Sounds like we might be going from bad to worse...

The maga stuff was just dunking on Long Island lol there’s a lot of maga chuds there. I just mean that it used to be really clean and for whatever reason, maybe budget cuts, they stopped caring and it wasn’t as well taken care of as it once was. I believe he was also in charge of getting new trains for the city in the 2010s? That may be a positive since you do have some very old ones in some areas, right?

I would think of the whole thing more as a necessary step in cleaning things up and figuring out what they need to do to fix it. Think of it as a new gm coming in and fixing the salary cap of your sports team. Could things slowly get better as he moves things around? Maybe but my guess is they need to clear the clutter to have a much better picture of where and how they’ll invest to improve it. Either way, I’m pretty certain he will retire again once that’s finished.
