  1. I used the new MoviePass a couple days ago for the first time. Worked mostly as advertised!

I saw Knock at the Cabin. I checked in on the app with no problems. When I went to the kiosk at the theater to pick my seat and pay for my ticket, I selected Debit on the machine (because it says Debit on the actual card) but it was declined. So I tried again buy chose Credit and then it worked all worked smoothly.

One thing I saw online is that some people have said that the app may not update with your available credits after you use some. So I'm not sure if I still have 24 credits left for the month, or if I need to deduct that by 10, since I saw a matinee.

When I click to look at my account and subscription in the app, it says what sub I have but it doesn't say how many credits are allotted in it, or the others. So I'll have to look that info up online, I guess.

Credits work like this (in most markets)
    Matinee: 10 credits
    Night time: 20
    Weekend: 30

All things considered, it did what it was supposed to. We'll see how it goes going forward.

Every movie at my regal seems to have a heavy blue/red color calibration. It’s noticeable in every trailer and movie I see. I feel like I’m wearing crazy pants.

  5. You wear your pants up so high that they distort your view? That’s crazy

did it really need a documentary?

  11. MoviePass having a documentary makes more sense than BlackBerry and Pop Tarts having their own studio movies, at least.

  12. But honestly... shit, I miss the MoviePass glory days.

Excited to finally see this documentary. Glory days for sure. Haven't done a movie theater subscription since those days. $10 it was a no brainer. $30 Im not too sure as not enough movies catch my attention.

I saw so many damn movies with moviepass. It didn’t matter what it was, I’d go.

  15. I think I saw every movie the one year I had MoviePass as it once was. Especially in the summer when it’d be too hot in my apartment, my wife and I would walk across the street and go see a movie and enjoy the nice AC.

Yea the place I was living in at the time had no AC either so it was a great escape. I also had terrible hay fever that spring and it was a refuge from that too.

What a year that was. Go to the theater to buy tickets in person, go have dinner and drinks somewhere nearby for a couple hours, back to the theater for showtime, repeat for every movie playing
