    Both songs are good.

As someone who primarily listens to music in album form, deleting anything from an album is severely unhinged to me. Like, you didn’t improve the album, you made a playlist. You aren’t ever going to listen to the album with tracks missing.

I think that’s exactly what people are doing.

I am my own muse is the most interesting song they’ve ever written, might not be my favorite but damn what a swing for the fences I respect the shit out of it

Yes. They are. And it’s weird, to me. But I think being an album person isn’t exactly the common way most people listen to music. So, I’ll find a lot of music listening habits weird.

artists work on songs tirelessly for years only for you to delete them the day they come out lmfao. just wildly disrespectful and eliminating any chance for the songs to maybe grow on you in the future

Obviously these “fans” just understand music better than the band does.

to me it’s like, 1) it’s been 3 years now let’s let it ride and 2) we did live through it, i don’t need to be reminded of it in lyrics, movies/shows etc, i like an ~escape~ in that sense

boy you and i would not be friends then, my take for listening to new music is skipping to the chorus and if it doesn’t hook me i don’t bother listening to the rest of the song lmao

I agree that feels like his biggest comp to knock him out of #1. miley didn’t even come close, i feel like if combs doesn’t, and fob prob won’t, he’ll be there for a while again

This record isn’t sniffing number 1, Lana’s streaming numbers are going to blow this away. I’d say a solid #3-4 debut this week.

3 years since it started, not since it ended or it effects stopped. People are still dying. But sure, let’s let it ride…

listen to any of their other albums then. Telling an artist to not be inspired by something significant/traumatic in their life is fucking weird.

they can write about it, it’s not my job to police it. but certainly ppl are tired of it and i think that’s just as fair tbh!

i just don’t have the time, especially if it’s an album i’m only mildly interested in. but if a song isn’t catchy to me then i’m out lol

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with a listener not wanting to be reminded of what may have been a very challenging or distressing time in their life. Nobody’s shaming the band for writing them. That take really isn’t unreasonable or a big deal at all

Forgot about Lana, her and combs will be fighting for #2 likely but maybe one of them knocks off wallen

That is… a truly bizarre and impatient way to consume art. What if the verse is better than the chorus?

I don’t like I Am My Own Muse, personally. It’s too Disney for me. I think I would’ve preferred something a touch more subtle like Golden in its place.

Then they should just listen to their other albums and stop whining about it.

this is my favorite reply mainly because i love tim

but yeah i always coast through albums for the first listen, i like being hooked by a song so if the chorus doesn’t do it for me then i don’t need to waste my time listening to the rest is all lol
