I know I gush about TDAG a lot to you since it's my favorite album ever, but trust me, once it hits, it hits!

 

Got tickets to the Mann Center show when they put them up for sale the second time. I can't fucking wait. It feels like forever away. My first time seeing Brand New.

 

What hint did he drop? I've tried looking but can't find anything!

It's something like Jason can't wait to announce the new Brand New album here, and that it's coming...he thinks....

I'd already seen that. I thought there was something bigger I missed.

New album will be announced this week. I feel it.

I don't really feel it. I'm lying. I feel nothing.

 

I am basically numb to Brand New anticipation lol

 

I think we might have a bit longer. I dunno if they will announce anything before their tour. I could see them just start playing a new song or two during the tour then announcing the album after...

 

Every time I think I'm numb to it, something will spark it again. Like just listening to The Devil and God, or throwing on Mene and I'm right back obsessing over it.

 

Something tells me we will get some kind of news either next week or in mid-April. But yeah what do I know. Whenever we do get some news i hope it won't just be an announcement about an upcoming announcement. Those are lame.

 

If they don't have an album out by tour time, do you guys think that they will play a new song at least?

 

I think if nothing has happened by the tour, we definitely get a new song live.

 

IMO no doubt yes. I mean I would be very surprised if they didnt. Mene is already almost a year old. They must be sitting on so much new material it's crazy to think that they wouldn't want to share some of it live before whenever eventual release they have planned.

 

So make of this what you will. The other day I asked Jason if he thought Brand New would release or announce anything before the tour. He told me that he doesn't think Brand New really knows for sure, he said they they have ideas of what they would like to do, but he doesn't know if they have any definite plans yet.. So who knows what will happen haha

All I know is that I get to see my favorite band for the 3rd time this summer and I am pretty content with that

And me on back to back nights which is truly a dream come true to be honest.

 

Same here, Chicago. So excited. I don't know how I managed to get my fiance to go with me once..let alone twice Haha. He's not a fan.

 

Idk, I really hope the first taste of a new song isn't live. As much as I want it, I don't the first time I hear it to be a crappy fan recorded YouTube video. But hey I'll take what I can get.

 

I feel like their cycle of releasing music has always involved hearing the new stuff live before we get anything recorded.
