Ugh since starting on sleep meds this will have to be me. Im still playing around with what time I take them. I'm now falling asleep faster and more restful but can't wake up to save my life. I have court first thing tomorrow morning so it's gonna have to be a dozen alarms. I don't feel heavy or groggy like I did on my last sleep meds. Just still sleepy even tho I get a decent amount

Where I'm from, a chode is NOT the same as a gooch/taint

 

Holy shit. I have never heard it used to describe the other thing, but I had to scroll to the 6th or so entry on Urban Dictionary to see what I thought it was. My whole life is a lie

 

I feel like such a chode

 

I generally enjoy when strangers initiate conversation with me in public (it can be surprisingly fun!), but the times they make it weird fucking suck.

 

Nothing better than a surprisingly pleasant random social interaction! But then there are weirdos on the MAX or MLM people out there too

 

As a shut-in New Englander, the thought of any stranger just talking to me for no reason is jarring

Seriously, from my travels over the years, people are genuinely friendlier and more outgoing in other regions of the country

 

Sometimes it’s fake friendliness, I was just less open to random interactions until I spent a few years in the pits of retail

 

My first reaction is usually skepticism, if someone I don’t know randomly starts talking to me I assume they want something. I’m wrong more often than not though. Definitely a New England thing. My girlfriend is from western PA and she always says how much less outwardly welcoming we are here.

 

I'm always wearing my earbuds so I can't hear them anyways so my first reaction is to make a face and wave them away or just pretend they don't exist lol

 

Probably my least-serious grievance, but North America not having wild kangaroos.

 

I was filling out a passport application online for a client and they let you enter it all online and then print it so it's all neat and pretty but they have a character limit on your email address and my work email is my full name which is long and it wouldn't let me input it so I did all that for nothing and had to print it and fill it out by hand

 

fun fact, several Big Cats used to roam North America, so we’re really missing out. Not an insignificant grievance!

 

This Cocoa Pebbles candy bar I bought doesn't have enough Cocoa Pebbles in it.

 

They trimmed the tree in front of my apartment awhile ago and all my animal friends are now gone. I haven't seen a Pileated Woodpecker in months!

i was in the south a couple weeks ago and people will legit make 15 minute conservsations w the clerk at the gas station. as someone that lived in new england/philly most of my life i kind of envy it but also dont understand it lol

 

I sometimes wish Anoles would come up to you and allow you to pet them.
