I would never say that about Fall Out Boy.

i think about this so often that my brain is rotting but i won't even get into it. different topic though, it's fucked up that pete wentz is famous and i'm convinced he doesn't know how to play bass.

Even if Pete Wentz can't play bass, he wrote a bunch of lyrics people like and he's handsome, so I suppose that's more than enough to be famous.

I feel like I'm confessing a huge secret every time I say this, but I was never remotely into Fall Out Boy or Paramore and only recently started to appreciate them. haha.

No idea why, but I think after being into 90s punk and then early 2000s pop punk, I was sort of checked out by the time these bands became prominent. Besides keeping up with my established favorites like The Starting Line, Yellowcard, etc. in the mid-2000s, I was just into other things at that point.

I didn’t get into Paramore until their self-titled. They’re doing far more interesting things these days than those first few albums.

of course, i see him as a businessman who knows how to sell his product so he does just that with fall out boy. he told tim from rise against that he was starting a pop punk band that was going to take over the world and he did it. he's not a musician but he faked it until he made it.

I've been digging their last two albums quite a bit for sure. It's just funny because I'm completely the appropriate age to have listened to them when they first broke out and I was even into that style of music (for the most part)....yet I am completely unfamiliar with their back catalog.

All these 2003 albums are getting special treatments this year and I really hope we get something cool for Untitled. I mean we won't, but I still hope.

  13. According to Spotify monthly listeners, Fall Out Boy is currently the #227 biggest artist in the world, with Blink at #345

Massive accomplishments for both bands, quite frankly

That's a far cry from No. 1 and No. 2 in the world

i can't even imagine what #1 is, to me those bands make sense because they cater to most people's tastes. are there actually 226 bands (not solo artists like taylor swift) that are more popular than fall out boy?

We’ve reached the part of the thread where we rank bands from most popular to least popular, 1-345.

  17. The point was very obviously not about blink and fob being the biggest artists in the world, and your original comment seemed to imply (my apologies if I misinterpreted you) that blink deserved the designation with fob doesn't. The stats I provided showed that fob is as big if not bigger than blink by plenty of metrics.

No, it's not #1 or #2 (which I believe currently belong to The Weeknd and Miley Cyrus), but of course it's not. Pop-punk bands are rarely if ever going to break into Spotify's top 100, and it's amazing that they're in the top 500 at all.

haven't. wanted to, but when I made my Christmas list last year, I wanted other things more than some books i might struggle with reading. lol I've also heard many great reviews, but I also believe I've heard that it's a little difficult to read too.

I bought this one and read it to my nephew on Christmas Eve. He liked that you could feel the images.

I was getting stressed about the blink will they/won't they release this week stuff, so now I'm just trying not to care and whenever it happens, i'll be excited then. I'm enjoying Tom posts lately, even if they have nothing to do with blink.
