SOTY, MM@TA, Periphery, DCDC, MILEY! such an awesome release day!

 

A little over a year ago, I found a producer who I thought would be the perfect fit for this acoustic-pop album I was hoping to make, from songs I'd set aside over recent years that didn't quite fit onto my first two albums. He checked those albums out before our initial phone call, and he was super stoked at the idea of finally getting to make an album in the style of bands he loved like Mae and House of Heroes...only to be completely deflated when I said I was wanting to make an acoustic pop album.

Well, I thought, why don't I take a shot at turning these acoustic demos into rock songs? It couldn't hurt to try! As I started rewriting and recontextualizing the songs, it occurred to me - why in the world was I wanting to make an acoustic pop album? My heart is with emo rock!!

So here's my third studio album, Accidental Days, which magically turned into a big rock album but still contains a few nods to the soft, acoustic-led album that it could've been. A few people in here checked out the album already because I gave it a soft-launch last week on Bandcamp, but I'm super stoked to officially get it out there into the world, and I'm grateful towards everyone who'll give it a shot.
