Didn't love Pepper acoustic as much as the original, but I'm sure some of the songs I'll be down with.

I agree. Well, though I for one will definitely enjoy the whole release, I still think the power of Asphalt Meadows lays within the new soundscapes they used for its production, it was the right move to make it more noisy - could even see them going further in that direction

Ben Gibbard did a remix of Snowy Owl from Stars’ latest album

Kind of surprising actually to find out that Ben Gibbard and Torq from Stars are good friends

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

to be fair Craig said "albums that are already good" so... not Cope haha

Cope is good, just bad mixing/production or whatever.

I like all the fuzz/loud guitars on Cope. More of a feature than a bug to me.

I think Robert accidentally selected “apply tone to all” before exporting the album.

    I kid, I kid.

  12. Cope is fine. Cool record, not a great MO record. I like it better in theory than in execution

Cope is definitely not my favorite ManOrch album. I'm of the mind that they leveled up as songwriters in a big way on the last two, and kind of left that album in the dust in the process. But I do like what they went for on that album.

where would i be if i was my brain Prestigious

Wasn't the plan to always have the super loud record and the acoustic one?

Cope had a good sound, but I caught MO on a tour promoting the album, and they kept all the fuzz and distortion for every song in their 1.5h long set - that was sadly just too much of the same tone.

Getting back to DCFC - are we expecting any more covers or anything with further releases? I really like this Low song added here

Foxglove (acoustic) being released 2/23. I'm really curious on how this will play out. The outro was some of the best dcfc instrumentation in a while. Don't doubt they'll do something interesting.

They closed their main set with Foxglove last fall and it gave me goosebumps all over my entire body, that outro is absolutely unreal

  22. I see this band for the first time in thirteen days and I've just seen the opening night setlist for the EU tour

I hope they don’t play any of the new LP tracks in their stripped down versions and ruin em

Is $125 for one GA pit ticket worth it to see them in June?

  25. I mean, they're great live, I guess it just depends on how much of a bucket list band they are for you and how much you're willing to pay. I don't think I'd pay $100+ to see anyone aside from like, Radiohead or Deftones, but that's me
