I can’t get over the fact that Bryan Danielson brought back the Yes chants in the ring corner last night. At that moment I was convinced he was winning. It’s the one thing he said he wouldn’t do in AEW, so what a moment.

 

as much as I want Danielson as the champ, I'm glad MJF retained. I think he has a lot more to give than what we've seen so far

 

I am kind of hyped for AEW All Access now ngl.

From the trailer it seems like we are going to get some kind of behind the scenes look at the aftermath of the Punk presser. At least The Bucks talking to TK about it.

 

once punk comes back they will show us the footage of what really happened on All Access. it was all a work duh

 

While my MOTN was tied between the Trios and World Title matches, can we talk about HOW WILD it was to see Mox, after forking Page, covered in splatters of blood?

(and re: the above post, I sure hope Tony learned a lesson himself in terms of what not to do with the DoN build.)

EDIT: Wait, now that I think of it, Dynamite was pretty kick-ass up and until they put the Tag Belts on the Gunns.

Not really. People hated WWE because the booking and PPV’s sucked. It’s not like they were putting on great big shows with shitty TV. It was all shit lol

 

Very much agree with the first part. I thought Revolution was pretty fantastic top to bottom with only a couple of small exceptions, and I'm borderline ready to throw in the towel on weekly AEW TV.

I don't think the full comparison to WWE is apt, though, because there have been times where both the TV product AND the Pay-Per-Views largely sucked.

I think both companies have pretty much figured out how to put on good PPV/PLE. WWE has been on a streak of good shows for quite a while. AEW hasn't really ever had what I'd consider an outright bad PPV. I think the general booking in AEW is pretty awful right now, though.

 

MJF saying "Goddamn, that's a good fucking pickle" is gonna stay in my head for a long time.

 

Any chance they book a Punk/Omega feud built off the big incident? Now that the trios titles are with HOB they have an opportunity to do so.

 

The build-up to Revolution was a little sloppy but I also don't think every PPV needs to have big, long storylines heading into it. AEW has proven they can do the long storyline stuff well. A lot of these matches came together kinda quick but they all made sense, outside of that tag title match at least, and the show delivered.

I feel like some of the previous injuries kinda threw things off in the big picture. But now you have Hangman back, Cole back, HOB back, FTR back. And you can throw Christian in there as well. Him coming back helped JB get a big win/boost. Now try to get Punk back in the mix and you can start building more storylines.

 

AEW TV also has actual wrestling on it, which is usually good even if the booking/storytelling isn’t. When WWE TV is bad you’re sitting through what must end up being like a full hour at least of recaps and video packages and not much in-ring stuff

Yeah, unfortunate in a bunch of ways...I mean, they more than made up for it for that kid, but, probably smarter to just not to do or use a plant.

Yeah, I was gonna say, my biggest problem is WWE never paid off things at a PPV. Half the matches ended in DQs so they could feud into the next PPV. And the last year or two I watched, Vince got so obsessed with heel heat and hometown losses that some of the PPVs got unwatchable. Was it a Summerslam where every heel won?

If anything, AEW is sort of NXT:Takeover but bigger.

 

Guy at work has a station on that just started "Carry On My Wayward Son" and I did the Kenny BANG at the beginning.

 

What a crazy way to get caught smuggling liquor in a water cup at a show lol
