  1. I feel the "Every tour is avoiding X" in my bones since I recently moved to Cincinnati from Nashville for my wife's job. I do feel fortunate that 3 other cities (Indy, Louisville, Columbus) are within 2 hours but most tours seem to only come as close as Cleveland. I'm from Indiana so I was used to it but the 8 years in Nashville spoiled me.

  4. yep, that's how it was for me in Nashville. if it was within 1-2 miles, I'd walk. I will definitely miss the post-show walk. they're such a great way to come down and take in the show you just witnessed.

Lol Solvang? There’s a venue in Solvang now??? Wild

EDIT: Wait, I know where/what that venue is now lol nvm. Still, pretty weird T&S are playing there…

I feel this. I had to drive 40-90 minutes for a show when I grew up/lived in my hometown. And even then, that whole area is a B/C market, so bands I actually wanted to see were slim pickings.

Now that I live in OC, I have to really pick and choose which shows I wanna go to. Haha

It would be great to see that FFAF tour stateside (with or without DbC), but I wasn’t holding my breathe for it. Oh, well. It remains one of my favorite albums from the “scene” era.

No, us based. And I can’t do the first weekend so final 3 dates are what I can work with. And I have no problem using transit so I’ll manage.

I almost flew out for last years tour but the idea came too late to pull it off. Yeah that arena was surprising, partially why I’m choosing norwich instead for smaller venue (and I feel dumb going all the way there and not checking out London stuff lol). DC was a welcome surprise and helps justify the whole endeavor

    hmmm

I saw that FFAF tour announcement and felt like it wasn't that long ago I'd seen them do Casually Dressed in full on their farewell tour. How seven years have passed since then, I have no idea.

Me and my wife are planning on moving from the Chicago area to a different area in the US later this year or early next year. We have some factors that are going in to the decision of where to go to. She is not aware (yet, at least) that one of the factors are how many shows that place gets.

Buffalo gets skipped on tours quite a bit, but it’s quite nice being a 70min drive from Toronto.

Makes it pretty easy to see a show right after work and be back in bed by like 12:30/1am.

One dead at GloRilla concert at Armory in Rochester NY, others injured

didn’t see this posted in here. very sad situation but the venues design probably didn’t help. I’ve been there for manyyyyy shows and there’s literally one main entrance and people don’t realize there’s emergency exits on the side. I’m sure there was a mass rush towards that main entrance.

They’ve been booking a lot more hip hop there lately, and the security has been beefed up a bit. I doubt there was a gun in the venue (they’re very thorough on checks), hopefully it wasn’t a DJ sound effect or something that caused the panic.

That's the most packed I've seen an Armory show be in years... to the point where those crowd pictures make it look way oversold. Of the few "sold out" shows I went to there, there's never been ticket-holders allowed side-stage like that. That venue has so much potential but the owners have let it turn into a borderline dump.

New camping festival on the location of Woodstock 69. Cool concept, boring ass lineup.

I noticed in the pics that the upper deck wasn’t open at all, which is very weird. Wonder if that contributed to the crowding?

Very solid lineup for a little 1 day diy fest. Driveways in particular is a great get. Lotta internet hype but very rarely do they play shows outside of the East coast
